Penny Weigand

Dietitian

Penny Weigand is an Accredited Practising Dietitian who started her
career as over 10 years ago at Sydney Children’s Hospital however has
worked almost exclusively in the area of weight loss surgery since 2016.

She is very experienced in supporting patients both pre and post
operatively and continues to see patients for many years post surgery.

Penny has an interest in longer term weight maintenance and assisting with implementing behaviours post operatively which drive successful weight maintenance. She also has a special interested in supporting women who wish to fall pregnant (or who are pregnant) after having had bariatric surgery.

She is an active member of Dietitians Australia, is a member of the
bariatric surgery leadership group within Dietitians Australia and also a
member of the Australian New Zealand Metabolic and Obesity Surgery Society.
